Christmas 2008 at Twin Lakes Farm

Welcome to our first post on our new blog "Twin Lakes Farm". It is being launched today from St. Charles while the "real" and "big" party is getting underway at the Schoolhouse on Twin Lakes Farm.

Since this is my first attempt at this "blogging thing" there will most likely be a lot quotation marks used which just so you know is code for I don't really know exactly what I am doing. The other thing that is a little intimidating is I will now have to display my grammar skills to the whole world. (Sorta frightening). Every time I have thought about this process (blogging) my mind has automatically gone to to a mental picture of Mrs. Catherine Hudson my high school English teacher who tried her best to deal with me however, at that point in my life I was not meant to be dealt with. On the other hand my wife of 34 years had all that stuff mastered and was a great student (yes we went to high school together and by the grace of God I was able to graduate with her. We ironically shared the same rank in the graduating class, she was tenth from the top, I was tenth from the bottom!) Enough about that.

Good news....I am now a blogger. English/Grammar rule number 1: I will use I and we interchangeably from this point forward. English/Grammar rule number 2: commas?? hum?? I really don't use them. If you feel they are necessary go ahead and stick a couple where ever you like. Maybe someone can teach how, and more importantly, why we need them? See what I mean?

This is the first time I have not been with my family on Christmas Day. It's pretty strange. I don't know if I feel like I'm in the Army stationed overseas or in prison? I guess more like overseas. My job has me away from home, more at a later date on that (dangling participle I think.....just so you know I heard some of the stuff Mrs. Hudson espoused)

You get the idea.

I am now going to attempt to embed a photo of the farm and post thing. Wish me luck!

Merry Christmas!!
